1,200 sailors, 63 racing yachts, Les Voiles de St Barth Richard Mille is the perfect combination of sporting performance and innovation.
Richard Mille has been an active partner of Les Voiles de St. Barth since the event was created in 2010.
Remarkable sailing craft, a magnificently diverse fleet, top-flight crews and exciting routes—that pretty much sums up the event, organised by François Tolède and Luc Poupon.
This event welcomes over 80 crews, with a particular focus on boats having taken part in the famous Route du Rhum. A truly spectacular display of competitive yacht racing saw more than 1,000 sailors and crews converge on the port of Gustavia. The regatta is open to Maxis, Spinnakers, Multihulls and Melges 24s.
The 2019 edition represented something of a comeback following the extensive damage wrought by hurricane Irma in the Antilles in September 2017. A high level of local commitment, together with outside involvement has helped this prestigious event get back on its feet. As a result, the event is more eco-responsible than ever, with a ‘zero plastic’ racing village that gives pride of place to local and responsible food and drink options, and promoting awareness to change attitudes among crew members.
The magnificent turquoise waters, the luxury atmosphere, and the undeniable French touch gave a truly unique spirit to the regatta held in the heart of the Caribbean.
Competition and conviviality were its watchwords, both in the water and on shore. Each year, more and more competitors are keen to take part, including some of the biggest stars in the world of sailing.
